1000 GPM Portable Media FilterRenting a portable pump, filter, and chemigation unit can reduce a grower's fixed costs for row-crop drip irrigation. Approximately 32% of the cost of a typical 100-acre, drip-tape irrigated field is the pump, filtration, chemigation and control valve units. Rain for Rent™ has developed a portable, trailer-mounted unit specifically for treating water for drip irrigation. Growers like to rent their water filtration units because they do not want to build a permanent filtration unit on leased ground. Renting conserves capital and provides the flexibility growers need when crops or field locations are frequently changed. Each unit delivers up to 1200 gpm of filtered water. A dual chemigation unit featuring two Mazzei™ injectors can provide 0-75 gph and 0-10 gph simultaneous chemical injection. A pressure regulating and sustaining valve controls system pressure between 5-60 PSI. A typical system can irrigate three 35-acre blocks of 80" bed spacing, 500 series Hi-Flow T-Tape (.45 gph/100ft.) and apply .52" gross water application per day. Rain for Rent's engineering and field personnel
work closely with each grower to ensure that each system is properly
designed. |
